If you can even believe it, we're officially launching look five - a.k.a the last and final preview look - of the New York Bridal Fashion Week and Market campaign featuring Kata Banko Couture and Victoria Spector. To share just how versatile these two designers are, we've paired two totally different accessories with one fantastic gown. Check out the final look, as well as all the details directly from our beloved duo below!
First up, we have a beautiful gown from Victoria Spector. An illusion neckline, full train and pleated skirt offer fashion-forward aesthetic. This design, albeit sweet and feminine, has a rather colorful back-story.
Designer Victoria Spector explains, "I was inspired by a graphic butterfly tattoo that I once saw. It got me thinking of a way I could incorporate the very linear aesthetic of that tattoo into a soft bridal look." This two-part design (starting with designing the beaded butterfly crystal appliqué, then completing the whole dress into one cohesive style) combines a non-traditional source of inspiration executed with rather traditional materials - such as Swarovski crystals, pearls and beads - which are ultimately common elements in bridalwear. Perfect for a bride who wants to make a fashionable, yet tame statement.
Like many of the cohesive styles in Kata Banko Couture collections, the IVY TRIO is a spin-off on the IVY hair band. When it comes to styling, head designer Colleen Bankovich explains, "this is for the bride who wants versatility in her look - wear it as a crown, as a side accessory, in the back of your hair (as shown), as a veil topper or - add some ribbon and wear it as a belt."
The Tilda Veil came to life as a custom request - this particular veil is the "sister" of the Jacque Veil which is 130'' long oval cut veil. It has all the traditional features a bride desires - soft tulle, lace trim and a flowy silhouette - with a chic and totally wearable length and cut.
